La scheda seriale PCI Express PEX2S553 consente di trasformare uno slot PCI Express in 2 porte seriali RS-232 (DB9). Basata su un design a chip singolo nativo (nessun chip ponte), questa scheda adattatore seriale a 2 porte permette di sfruttare le funzionalità complete offerte da PCI Express (PCIe) e di ridurre il carico applicato alla CPU fino al 48% rispetto alle schede seriali convenzionali.

La scheda adattatore seriale RS232 (PEX2S553) è compatibile con un'ampia gamma di sistemi operativi, tra cui Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 (a 32 e 64 bit), Linux Kernel da 2.6.11 a 4.11.x, nonché MAC OS 10.4 e versioni successive.

Inoltre, la scheda seriale comprende una staffa opzionale a mezza altezza/basso profilo che consente l'installazione della scheda in qualsiasi slot PCI Express indipendentemente dalle dimensioni del case del computer. Questo articolo sostituisce la scheda PEX2S552.
